I couldnt live with out my acer (Acer Emachines E510)

Advantages: good visual resolotion and very fast

Disadvantages: poor battery life and low volume

I have this laptop and am using it now. My dad brought it me as a christmas gift to help me when I eventaully go to university.

Normally when I get gifts its something that I really dont want but this was amazing I couldn't have got a better gift but this it's great.

Im not very much into technology as I sometimes struggle with it but this laptop is really good I managed to install it fairly easily with no problems and it didn't take that long either nor does it take long to charge it.

I have found that the laptop has helped me with lots of things at the minute I mainly use it for entertainment purposes as I havent started university yet. I tend to listen to music on the laptop and watch things like the BBC and ITV Iplayer. Which is good because I am often busy in the week and this gives me a chance to catch up on programmes I have missed.

The sheer quality of this laptop allows me to view the programmes with out any hitches the resoloution is fairly good so when I do watch programmes on line I can see them clearly. However the laptop speakers are not very loud and so when I watch programmes I tend to have ear phones on so that I can hear a little better. There may be another way to over come the audio volume problem however I have not over come this yet and so i'll stick to my earphones for now.

I find that once the battery is charged it lasts a couple of hours which is ok but not very good if you need a laptop and want to use it on long train journeys.

The laptop is certainly easy to use and you can set passwords on it so it is fairly secure too.

I haven't had any problems regarding reliability or installation and therefore that is fairly good. Its not never stopped working and ive had it 7 months now, the laptop also starts up within a minute and applications are ready to use straight away.
