Only weighing 2.7 kg this is quite good for taking on the move as well. It also has a 2.5 hour battery life, which is pretty good but if you do want a laptop specifically designed for portability then this probably isn't the best bet.

Acer is a company that's growing stronger and stronger by the day, a few years ago I wouldn't have even considered buying an acer, but now acer are starting to over take dell in laptop sales and its mostly down to their fair prices, as well as their great build quality. Sure dell might still make better laptops, but acer are more the peoples laptop brand offering lots of variety at affordable prices. This so called gemstone design is anew one from acer and is being used in more and more of their laptops because of its popularity with customers.
