The inside looked slightly plasticky and cheap and I had a feeling the quality of the laptop would be second rate. However, after playing around with it for a few hours I actually prefer this to my old laptop. The Acer Travelmate is a dual-core performance machine with Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technology that includes a processor that is optimised for multi-threaded applications and multitasking. So for those who like tosimultaneously run multiple demanding applications then this machine should hold up to task. I have used or had open 5 programs at the same time (photoshop 6.0, Word, Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player and Excel) and the performance holds up ...
