I have owned this excellent Acer 4720Z notebook for 2 weeks and I am very pleased so far. Asthetically this model is very pleasing with its black exterior with holographic Acer logo and modern grey interior. The 14.1 inch LCD display is bright and colourfull showing excellent resolution for desktop applications and for viewing movies helped by their crystalbryte technology. I am not really a gamer from my limited use of games this notebook performs very well with fast smooth graphics, sound is excellent with built in dolby support through the Acer eAudio application. LAN Win XP Home I received this Notebook as a gift from my parents as a Christmas Gift as I have needed a Laptop for ages and I can't really remember a day that I've regretted having it as its a really great machine and even though it doesn't really have a very big hard drive unless you are into graphics design or downloading masses of files on the Internet and just use it as a day-to-day laptop then its perfect for you. Acer Travelmate 505 series

I bought my Acer Travelmate 508T in the after christmas sales at Currys, getting a buy one pay next december offer. It runs like a dream. With a P350 processor even my demanding score writing program (SIbelius) runs smoothly and the sound card adds a polish to my laptop that friends' laptops can't compete with. It came with a funky tiepin microphone that records incredibly clearly and has nearly five gigabytes of memory as well as 32 M Ram. The only drawback is my internet connection. It has a 56k modem which struggles to connect at 44k and drops to 9K when I am using the ac adaptor, this is rather annoying as I have to make sure my battery is fully charged ...
