We got an Acer Aspire laptop in 2006. It has been ok but we ve had to get the hard drive replaced once and the keyboard isn t very strong because a few of the keys have come out after regular use. In saying that, I do tend to hit the keyboard quite hard on occasion when playing certain games because I didn t have the joystick connected and that wasn t likely to have helped. I now connect an external USB keyboard as much as possible so as not to damage the keys further. It came with 512mb memory but 1gb+ would have been much better.
