My budget was around £650 when I started looking about 2 months ago, and I found the Acer Travelmate in my local PC World just about on budget. It ticked all the boxes, as my new laptop would be being carried around in the boot of my car most of the time and the only real carrying of it I would have to do would be into a hotel room really, size and weight did not really matter to me.
