Acer TravelMate is the mobile PC built with Smart Card security. Addressing the data security concerns of the mobile user, the TravelMate provides a smart security solution for the mobile computer and its internal data. Smart Cards use a microprocessor resident on the card to store data, make calculations, process data, manage files, and execute encryption algorithms. Smart Card memory is reusable via its ability to rewrite over existing data.
