Acer Travelmate 290 It s been a while since I owned one of these. Mine did have a Pentium 4 1.4 GHz processor and a wireless card. However, it only came with 256mb of RAM and the hard drive was 40 GB instead of 30 GB as stated in the listing DooYoo have put up. The main reason I bought this was because it was portable and I needed it when I was out and about. It was top of the range when I bought it, but it quickly became out-of-date. It started to slow down a lot and it used to take forever to load applications. I ended up having to upgrade the memory from 256mb to 1gb. upgrading and refurbishing old laptops and pc s, so when i grabbed this out of the loft (still in the original box and packaging) i was very pleased. The A Acer Travelmate 351TEV when first opening the box is a well packaged notebook and comes with an instruction manual, battery and charger cable. The laptop and accessories, come packed in plastic bags and securely held with a white foam mould. Keeping the laptop secure in the box to stop damage occurring. At first un-boxing you notice the size of the device.
