I have had this laptop for a number for years now, and every one has commented on how well it has 'stood the test of time' I'm not trying to say it stands up against the laptops being released now but it does what I need. It runs Windows XP flawlessly, I hae no problem accessing my emails, creating word documents, listening to music or watching online TV or DVDs. However for all its posotives it has finial started to sucum to the wear and tear ( it even got thrown across the room in a heated argument, not something would recomend doing obviously, yet still it plods on faithful as ever!). The keyboard keys are now starting to buckle and sometimes takes pressing them several times to make it register and the touch pad occasionaly plays up, for a period of about a week it refused to work at all but then now works perfectly, weird huh? so I figure the problems are due to simple over use. I am still debating weather I hould just replace those coomponts rather than purchase a new laptop. Brilliant, dependable laptop, from now on I will always choose an acer brand for their dependability.
