me and my friend did quite a bit of research before we both decided to purchase a laptop. this was because, we both were doing hoe businesses and we wanted ones that would function well and yet not be too expensive. i am a big fan of SONY but i found SONY laptops on an average 200£ more expensive than the respective ACER models. I decided to have a thorough read through of all consumer opinions and i was impressed.

one of our friend's owns this and this is what i noticed

all the technical aspects have been laid out in the description above and i would not want to elaborate on it and spend too much energy comparing it to other laptop models.

1) the instructions are pretty clear and it has many fancy function keys that makes the job easier.

2) sound and volume clarity, screen quality all are excellent and i have no complaints about it.

3) the travelmate series feels more lightweight and compact (just what its supposed to)

4)three USB ports, epower management, erecovery, speed, space - all seem fine to me

5) battery life seemed okay to me. even though it is charged for a couple of hours it does start blinking after a while.

6) the material (metallic paint) the keypad is made of is not one for long nails lol... its started coming off within a few weeks. the rubber anti-slip small backings on the bottom also came off lol

it has been 4 months now. my friend has not had any other bad experiences. it is a very good and yet cheaper alternative to the huge desktop workstations.

Summary: overall not too bad. small businesses will benefit from this handy substitute to fancy ones
