Advantages: Looks great, fast, smooth and reliable
Disadvantages: USB ports too close ogether
I have owned this excellent Acer 4720Z notebook for 2 weeks and I am very pleased so far.
Asthetically this model is very pleasing with its black exterior with holographic Acer logo and modern grey interior.
The 14.1 inch LCD display is bright and colourfull showing excellent resolution for desktop applications and for viewing movies helped by their crystalbryte technology. I am not really a gamer from my limited use of games this notebook performs very well with fast smooth graphics, sound is excellent with built in dolby support through the Acer eAudio application.
Wi-fi signal stength is always good pulling in a lot of nearby networks, Acer uses signalup technology to increase the signal upto 5 times. The built in webcam is clear and simple to use and is optimised for video conferencing.
The only negative point I have to make is that of the 4 usb ports, 2 on each side, they are located to close together which sometimes means you can only use one device not two, but this is common of most notebook in my experience.
Battery life is around 3 hours on a full charge.
Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase.
Summary: overall very satisfied with this ourchase
