Well, I give acer the thumbs up on this laptop. They\'ve designed a good looking laptop, which has good specs and is relatively cheap.
For all those who don\'t know about travelmates, basically their specifically designed for the working people. As a result of this, acer somehow came to the decision that all working people must be boring and therefore designed all their travelmates to look boring too.
Well for once, they have finally realised that if they designed their laptops to be cooler then more people would want them. Well I'm not saying this is the best looking laptop, however it is a dramatic improvement from their previous laptops. Combining colours like black and silver makes this laptop look cool and modern.

This laptop is really fast too, it features a Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 / 1.66 Ghz processor which runs the 2gb of installed ram pretty fast. Another great thing is that this 2gb of ram can be upgraded to 4gb which would make the whole laptop run so much faster. However, it would probably be cheaper to just get a better spec laptop rather than to buy this, then upgrade it because it can be really pricy, especially if your paying somebody else to do it.
But the 2gb will probably be enough for anyone's needs, and its very rare that you see laptops with more than 2gb of ram installed anyway.
This laptop has a built in 160gb hard drive, which is quite a lot, however some users may be think this is nothing.
Other ways to save data on this laptop are by using its 5 in 1 built in card reader, this is great as it makes connecting cards and getting pictures off your camera cards so easy, this can also read any of, SD Memory Card, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, MultiMediaCard, xD-Picture Card.

This laptop also has a 15.4 inch screen, this is good, but a lot of laptops now have 17 inch screens. However if you want something more portable then this smaller screen is possibly a good thing.
Its battery life is 2.5 hours, which I think is pretty good, and it only weighs 2.8 kg which is really light as most laptops weigh around 3-4kg or above. So this laptop is really good if you want something portable to take places with you.
This laptop looks good, and is really fast. If you need a fast piece of equipment that's reliable and even portable then this is great.
