I wanted something to replace my desktop so after reading spec. on Acer website I thought this would be ideal. Before you read any further I am no computer wiz, I only know what I like and what I can actually manage to work. It did though take me about ten days on and off of research into laptops, I am quite good at that. I came to the conclusion that large Japanese companies, such as Sony, Toshiba charge around £400.00 straight off just to have their name in your house. Check out equivalent models from them if you think me wrong. Super sharp screen, 2gig memory, 160 gig hard drive, stunning ATI Radeon graphics card. You will get nowhere near spec. for the £650.00 you pay for this laptop. Build quality is brilliant, has a magnesium alloy chassis to give great strength. Looks like it cost double the price. Speed ways, it is a flyer. I love ebay and have been on it since 2000. Never have I used a computer that loads up the pages as quick as this machine does, one flash and a page is loaded, no waiting for one picture after the other to load up. Gorgeous silvery matt black interior that looks very classy indeed

Garaphics and icons just glow with colour. Windows Vista is bril. took me some getting used to it but I now love it. Has the Vista Premium installed. Also Norton which has now been totally removed with the special tool Norton has developed for getting rid of its rubbish off peoples computers. Just shows how hated it is when Norton develop a tool like that. Also removed trial version of Works and put my own Works 8 on computer, which is perfectly compatable. Even gives you Vista colours, can`t be bad.

Laptop runs extremely quietly, unless disc is running or cooler clicks in it is virtually silent. After the battery had been charged up some I ran it until it packed in, to see what battery life it had and it conked out after 3 hours 26 mins. Not bad at all. May even get better with more charging. For some reason buying a laptop bag is tricky as Acer seem to be a bit bigger than normal laptops. So far tried two for a 15.4 inch one and had to take them both back as too small. This is quite honestly a snip at the price and when your mates try it out they will be drooling for one.

Summary: Amazing value for money.
