I bought this Laptop nearly a year ago for starting uni and found it for a good price in tesco (£379). I am really pleased with it and it has given me no real problems. 2GB of RAM is perfectly acceptable for general use, although it may struggle if you want to run some larger programs e.g. CAD. I really like the hotkeys on the right-hand side for controlling your music, although I would recommend going into the settings and turning the sensitivity down as they are quite easy to hit accidentally at the default setting. The built-in speakers are good for personal use, I have found them to be louder than most laptops, and the quality is very good as well. The hard disk space ...

Although the computer does run very smoothly, I have on a couple of occasions found all the pre installed Acer products to be very irritating, perhaps for the novice they will be useful, but to me they just take up extra memory and slow the computer down. It comes installed with norton(trial), which is a pain to remove, and also it comes with a microsoft word(trial) installed, both of which i uninstalled asap, as there are much better alternatives available for free (try open office).
