100s (£735)) only had a 5GB hard-drive and was the same price as the ACER, and the Compaq Celeron 700 version (Armada 110s (£822)) was an identical specification to the Acer (with just the addition of Word 2000 and MS Works), and was over £130 more expensive (the cheapest I could find on the net), or over £200 more expensive in Dixon’s. In the end I ended up paying £726 including VAT, delivery and with an extra 64Mb memory upgrade, which I think was a bargain (the ACER was £687 incl. VAT by itself). a mobile desktop, capable of running the vast majority of modern software and will certainly last a good few years of future development. As with all laptops the manufacturers guarantee is only for a year, parts and labour, so as much as it might gall me to say this, try to buy your laptop from PC World with an extended warranty. I was able to haggle the price of my extended warranty down by 60%. The discount is simply by the managers discretion. It is in their interests to sell an extended ...

INTRODUCTION I ve used Acer Travelmate T202t notbooks in conjunction with my work for several years now. They were excellent value when purchased, but have obviously now been well surpassed in terms of spec. However, hopefully this review will give you some idea of the lifespan and use of these computers, and maybe you d be able to pick one up on the cheap (I see similar models going for £100-200 on eBay which is a bargain!). SPECIFICATIONS Processor: Intel Celeron 600mhz. I ve never really liked the Celeron and this unfortunately is no exception. There s nothing majorly wrong here, it s just a little slow and power consumption ain t too great at all. Doesn t get too ...
