Advantages: Fantastic display, very quick processing power

Disadvantages: Acer's windows 7 driver support is poor and you lose bluetooth on an upgrade.

Right then, not sure where to start - I've never written a review before so you'll have to bear with me on this one.

I purchase the Acer Aspire 7530G from Littlewoods little over a month ago, and I must say it's passed all my expectations. I wanted the machine primarily for university work and to play the occasional game. It came with 3GB of RAM, but I purchased a 2GB memory module and took a 1GB stick out, making it 4GB. I only really did that as I wanted to use a 64bit operating system (this is needed if you wish for the OS to use all 4GB).

The diskspace is adequate and has a fast read/write speed, very quick at saving and accessing data.

The AMD Turion x2 RM 75 (2.2GHz - 1Mb Cache) processor is more than enough to cope with some of the most power hungry applications out there. I've used Adobe Photoshop/Dreamweaver CS4 at the same time without experiencing any delay, and as far as I'm aware, they would come under a CPU hungry category.

It's screen is the most impressive I've seen. People who I've shown the laptop too have all passed comment on it's amazing quality, and the sheer size of it (17"). Very clear indeed.

Graphics card (9600M GS) is adequate for most games, but don't expect it to run the very latest games at high quality. Theres enough websites around which provide accurate framerates to the latest and older games.

I'm also impressed with the nifty features such as the built-in webcam which offers quite amazing picture quality considering the lower megapixel. The speakers (Dolby Home Theater) provide a virtual surround sound environment, very impressive indeed.

Summary: Overall, a fantastic laptop with a decent price tag.
