I m currently writing this review on my Acer 5720. The glossy screen is excellent for watching movies, though if it catches a light reflection, this can be very distracting. The keyboard layout is neat and the mouse scroller has excellent sensitivity USB2.0 output allows you to have highspeed data transfer, whilst the dual core processor will direct performance where needed. The lack of bluetooth was somewhat dissapointing, though a small device off ebay for only £5 resolved this issue. As for the software included, the usual Acer arcade comes with all the goodies you need, improving sound, vision and graphics. Be careful with one thing, the harddrive space. I found ...

I wanted something to replace my desktop so after reading spec. on Acer website I thought this would be ideal. Before you read any further I am no computer wiz, I only know what I like and what I can actually manage to work. It did though take me about ten days on and off of research into laptops, I am quite good at that. I came to the conclusion that large Japanese companies, such as Sony, Toshiba charge around £400.00 straight off just to have their name in your house. This laptop is another one from the a Acer Travelmate range . Acer as a laptop company are beginig to grow, and they are now just as well know as a lot of others, but then I first saw then in shops, my first impression, and the impression of others I asked was they seemed a bit of a cheap brand, just like netto is compared to Sainsbury s. however acer have somehow seemed to change peoples minds and even managed to change my mind somehow.
