I ve had my Acer 5320 Travelmate for 3days now. This is my first laptop and to be perfectly honest, it has everything that I need and more. I purchased this along with a T-Mobile offer which was a FREE laptop if you took out a mobile internet dongle with 3 GB allowance for £30 per month for two years. Overview As a teacher i was given a laptop when i started working at my current school. The Acer Travelmate was the type i was given. I have to say that after almost 3 years its still going strong after what can only be described as daily battering! Speed As a primary teacher i need to keep a lot of photos on my laptop and this doesnt seen to slow it down too much. lucky. With very little initial outlay, they can be upgraded quickly and easily to a decent specification making them a very cheap option. Upgrades +++++++++ SOFTWARE > The Travelmate 244 will run Vista quite comfortably, however you will need to 1st upgrade the amount of RAM to its maximum. Vista fancy aero deck feature will not run however as the graphics memory is limited to 64mb. I personally use Vista on mine and If you can live without the fancy graphics, it runs very well.
