I wanted something to replace my desktop so after reading spec. on Acer website I thought this would be ideal. Before you read any further I am no computer wiz, I only know what I like and what I can actually manage to work. It did though take me about ten days on and off of research into laptops, I am quite good at that. I came to the conclusion that large Japanese companies, such as Sony, Toshiba charge around £400.00 straight off just to have their name in your house. INTRODUCTION I ve used Acer Travelmate T202t notbooks in conjunction with my work for several years now. They were excellent value when purchased, but have obviously now been well surpassed in terms of spec. However, hopefully this review will give you some idea of the lifespan and use of these computers, and maybe you d be able to pick one up on the cheap (I see similar models going for £100-200 on eBay which is a bargain!). Acer Travelmate 200DX

I bought my Acer Travelmate 200DX from Dixons about a month ago now. I got £60 knocked off the price through bartering (Always worth trying in shops like this). The Computer has an Intel Celeron 55 Mhz processor, a dissapointing 32Meg Ram, Floppy and Cd Drives, and a 5Gig Hard drive. The machine itself seems fairly fast, although I was hoping it would be faster. It is a good size, easy to carry about, and has an adequate battery life.
