Acer Travelmate 7530G-823G64N ... then, not sure where to start - I ve never written a review before so you ll have to bear with me on this one. I purchase the Acer Aspire 7530G from Littlewoods little over a month ago, and I must say it s passed all my expectations. I wanted the machine primarily for university work and to play the occasional game. It came with 3GB of RAM, but I purchased a 2GB memory module and took a 1GB stick out, making it 4GB. I only really did that as I wanted to use a 64bit operating system (this is needed if you wish for the OS to use all 4GB). Acer Aspire 7720G-302G32Hi ... recently. The 2 x 160gb harddrives are invaluable, and much higher than the average laptop, which is great if you have plenty of files, as it s quite unlikely you ll require an external harddrive! The LCD screen is very good quality, and does live up to expectations when watching anything HD, which mixed with the sound quality make s agreat viewing experience. Although, I did have to send the Laptop back to have the screen replaced after around 4 months of owning it, which was a big pain, but I put it down to it just being an odd fault, as I ve not heard it s too common with this model. Acer Aspire 6930G ... just to surf or perhaps watch the odd video, we thought the spec would be more than enough for our needs. Within a couple of weeks, it started to heat up whenever it was fully charged and plugged in. This got worse until it started to crash anytime you played music, or watched video. Even really basic games like Zoo Tycoon would freeze it for hours on end, or just crash. We were advised by the Acer customer services helpline to "make sure the laptop was not put on top of any solid surface which might impede air circulation to its base" - what, like a table?
