Dell Inspiron 1525 ... received some much needed attention in 2007 with the introduction of the sleek, high performance XPS M1330 and XPS M1530 notebooks. Although these more expensive notebooks in the Dell lineup were praised for their looks and low weight, the Dell Inspiron 1520 was criticized for being yet another bulky and unattractive laptop. Dell listened closely to this criticism when they designed the new Inspiron 1525. The Inspiron 1525 is in fact 25% smaller, 30% slimmer and almost half a pound lighter than the Inspiron 1520. It is the first laptop what has a 1080i capable display which in plain english means that it has full HD (High Definition) readiness. Design/Style: This is a very large laptop with a big screen, so if you are looking for buy a laptop for travel then stay far away. The main theme of the laptop is a black colour which has a lot of shine. You can see your reflection in it. Acer Aspire One A110-AB ... thoroughly impressed with my Acer Apsire One. I bought the 512Mb ram, 8Gb flash version in the summer and it has had constant use. Pros: 1. Comes with Linux (Linpus) installed. 2. Very simple to get wireless comms up and running. Windows users need have no fears it really is a doddle. 3. More than adequate preinstalled software ( firefox for the web, OpenOffice for word processing and office tasks) it even has some games. 4. Robust build quality - I ve had mine for 6 months and despite dropping it a couple of times it hasn t missed a beat. 5. Powerful enough to run 2d CAD programs. Qcad is pre-installed. 6.
