I bought my G4 iBook almost 4 years ago and it is still going strong. That says something about the build of the machine, it's durability and usability. In that whole time I have only ever had one real problem with the machine, and that was when iTunes decided to crash. All it meant was that I had to restore my music collection by copying it back into iTunes from the hard drive music library. Sure, not exactly a fun thing to do but definitely nowhere near the problems that I've had with PCs in the past. I have a 12" ibook with the 1.33GH processor. i've had it for 6 months now and the outside is still pristine white. looks-wise it is gorgeous! because i've always been a microsoft user, i had to get some getting used to with apple mac, but shifting is pretty easy and i don't regret going for apple. i use mine for school, to store pictures, and music, for internet chatting and skyping. i love it because it is small and portable. it's very light and sturdy. it has an antishock device so if you accidentally drop it, it protects your files. it also has a built-in mic and speaker which both work really well. it has wi-fi and bluetooth and 2 usb ...

I didn't want to spend several hundred pounds on something that was just going to break in a couple of years. This is my first Mac and my first laptop but it took nothing to become used to, just a few minutes - I was expecting difficulties given my past 5 years of using the (godawful) Windows operating system (OS). Mac OS X isn't flawless but it's certainly a lot better than Windows. Despite the low power (1ghz) and stingy memory (256mb) it doesn't often struggle, I guess it's because it isn't as loaded with crap as Windows often is. For £799 the power is mediocre ...
