Advantages: wafer thin
Disadvantages: battery life poor
The most simple, focused, and beautiful laptop ever but not without its issues and problems.
Price.
This laptop is in my opinion a little overpriced. People say the best tools are expensive but $3000 is a joke!
Performance.
This laptop is infact the slowest mac you can buy right now! But after using mine for a week I have found it more than fast enough for my basic needs.
Battery.
B****** the swear word when it comes to the air. The word any heavy user fears to utter. The 34 watt internal battery of the Air has been a point of contention for pros who do lots of field work. But why all the worry?
The battery is so easy to change my grandma could do it! Simply unscrew a few screws with a phillips screwdriver and your done! No nails no glue...no hastle - stop complaining!
Portability.
It's thin...oh so thin. At just 0.16 inches its thinner than any laptop ever sold. The tapered edges, like the ipod nano, give the impression of it being even thinner! Even at its thickest its just 0.76 inches which is nothing to be sniffed at!
Display.
The screen on the MacBook is very nice, with vibrant colors and intense backlight. There is very little bleed even in dark movie scenes
To sum up... its a great niche laptop but definatly not the next iPod moment for apple.
Summary: A great laptop but not one i would recommend for heavy users
