      Better than a windows computer

As with all of apple's products, this is so simple and easy to use! It is of course different than a windows computer, which most people are most likely used to, but it is different in a good way.

It is easier and quicker switching through applications. It is quiet almost all the time, except when you are uploading a CD. It has a clearer display than many other computers.

It may lack the ability to use certain programs made for windows, but it is overall so much faster and so that does not matter. The laptops keyboard is also very nice to use and is soft touch.

The unit's sound quality is however a bit of a let down at times, but what do you expect, it's not made solely for those purposes. It features a variety of applictions, such as photo booth, which lets you take photos using the built in camera, garage band, which allows you to compose your own music, Ink, which is a word processor, and many more.

Apart from some applications lacking features provided on the windows version of them, this product is much better and worth investing in, as not only is this computer faster but its easy and quick to learn to use.

      its AWSOME

This is one of the best inventions! it runs great and perfect. mackintosh is soo much more reliable then Windows. mac is so much more reliable then PC's.

The graphics are so clear, its are amazing for designers, i use a lot of adobe programs.

I used to hate the fact i cant right click but it really doesnt bother me anymore esp when ive learnt all the short cuts. You can still right click by using CTRL/apple then your right hand mouse too.. perfect!

Apples always invent the best things. The MacBook really isnt much different from the MacPro unless you are a professional in the design career than i would suggest you getting MacPRO.. However apple also offers the selection to add RAM to it if you think the RAMS not enough. The hard drive capacity is enough but i recommend you using hard drives to store your films and songs anyway so that you MAc would preform much efficient!

If you just want it for leisure like everyday browsing and surfing then a Macbook is defiantly enough!13.3" is great you can easily slip it in bags and go in work/Uni or out to cyber cafes..

You can dwnload and use Firefox if you wish, if safari is not your thing.

Downfall about Mac is its MSN. Its the most basic/classical MSN other then that alot of it is probably more advance then a PC right?(Debatable)
and possibly some times when loading too many things it does freeze, but its easy to solve problems like that because its probably just Safari causing the problem or your trying to load too much things all at once. The charger can get dirty quickly as the whole charge is white, and the rubber cable picks up the dirt easily.

There are always regular updates for mac, so dont worry apple is always on its back..!

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      It has style over substance

I've had the laptop for just over a year now, and there are many good things about it. It connects to WiFi with about one or two clicks, which is excellent because on my PC it took several hours to get it set up to accept my wifi connection. The software that it comes with, such as iMovie is excellent, and the inbuilt webcam is extremely useful.

This being my first Mac I was worried that I was going to have a really hard time trying to figure out how to navigate the menus, but it was really simple and easy to use.

There are several design flaws with this laptop, however. After about 11 months, the case on the laptop cracked, it was through no fault of my own, but the fact that the way the lid sits it exerts pressure onto the case and can cause cracks by the handrests (after I got this problem I searched on the internet and found that it wasn't an uncommon problem either).

Secondly, the charger is extremely temperamental, which can be very frustrating. Sometimes it just will not charge the laptop, even though it is plugged in and turned on, the charger just seems to be dead. It may not work for an entire day, and then you plug it in the next morning and it will miraculously work as if nothing happened! This may be partly due to the charger being poorly designed, allowing the wires to easily become exposed due to regular use (again, with an internet search it turned out to be a common problem with these chargers).

Recently, the charger has also started to become extremely hot to the touch, hot enough that you would be burned by touching it for more than a second. As a result, because it has become a fire hazard I can only charge for short bursts to prevent it overheating - the cost to replace it is £58!

One final thing (unrelated to this specific laptop) that I have noticed and that does become extremely annoying is the Apple-buying community, who when you go to to find help with any problems are viciously defensive of Apple and refuse to help (saying that you are whining unnecessarily etc.) Just something to bear in mind if you aren't a die-hard Apple fan.

Functionality is what I find most lacking - and this a grievance more with Macs in general, not the Macbook. There are very few programs and games that will work with Macs and this is often frustrating for me, I did know this before I bought it but I didn't realise it would annoy me as much as it does.

Overall, I do like the laptop, and would recommend it for someone who doesn't want to use for much beyond watching movies/internet/word-processing stuff. It is really good for that. But when I need a new laptop I will not be buying another Mac, mainly because the system specs of the laptop are bad value for money, and the fact that I can't do everything that I can do on Windows on it.

      Buy it!!

Ok, so I'll be honest - I'm not exactly a techie. And it wasn't just the reputation of the Macbook that called out to me, but the stylish design and the kudos. But I've had this model for two years now and I don't have one complaint. The look and feel are beyond reproach, it's fast, it's reliable...I use it mainly for word processing and e-mail, so I'd suggest that if you're a big game player you might opt for the higher memory model. I uploaded The Sims 3 onto it and it ran, but only just! (and Mac games are pricey!). As a student I mainly use it for research and word processing, and in this respect it's ideal. The widescreen means you can easily have two documents up at one time (it may seem simple but this makes such a difference to me!) and 'spaces' [a Mac application which can be used to group your windows and reduce clutter by switching between different views of your open windows and applications] is ideal for multi-taskers, enabling users to work on a number of different projects at the same time.
My previous model was a PC, so the Mac interface took some time to get used to, but saying that, I now find Macs a lot simpler to use and find PCs very clunky.

        Amazing product

This was my first mac, after 10 years spent using a PC. Firstly I am very impressed, the stats on this machine may not jump out at you but the reason it has less processing speed and smaller RAM than similar price brakets in the PC range is because it does not require the extra processing power to run the mac platform. I can use the internet without worrying about virus's/adware and I do not need to run anti-virus software, which will reduce avaliable processing power. I have also purchased Office for mac, which accomades for all my work and university requirements without any hassle. The only downside to this machine is it will not run any (worthwhile) games because it lacks a grapics card, but this really does not bother me. The laptop is very pleasing to the eye with a white finish and flat key keyboard, overall its an amazing piece of equipment.
