Advantages: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, i-Life & i-Sight
Disadvantages: None
The Apple MacBook MB062B/B is executively designed for a mobile lifestyle with Intel Core 2 Duo processors, 1GB of memory, and large hard drive. It also has a number of innovative features, including a built-in iSight camera for 1 to 1 or group video chat on the go, iLife '08, Front Row, a nice 13inch widescreen display and supports dual displays. I have used Mac Notebooks before and have to say this is the most advanced and affordable MacBook. It gives you power and mobility, neatily packed into a beautiful compact design. The MacBook comes in 2 colour, white and black, I prefer the white being Apple's trade mark colour. The MacBook will keep you glued to it as you wont need anything else courtesy of built-in Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and AirPort Extreme 802.11 which gives you up to five times the performance and twice the range of previous generation Mac Notebooks.
The design of the MacBook is very sleek and only 2.75cm thin. It's very compact taking into account the technology it carries. The design makes it easy for you to take anywhere and also has a tough polycarbonate case, so you don't have to worry too much if it knocked around a little.
The MacBook comes with iLife '08, an exciting range of applications that make it easy function. It also features Front Row, so you can navigate your music, movies and photos at the touch of the Apple remote control which comes included with the MacBook. I love the Wi-Fi which I use all the time; there's no need to mess around configuring settings etc. Just find nearest Wi-Fi hotspot and surf.

Overall I would recommend the Apple MacBook MB062B/B as it is very useful for day to day use and also if you're a student you will find it to be an excellent tool. I use it for photo and video editing when on the go and havnt access to my home computer. So it is powerful enough to handle software which I use regularly such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash. These software are powerful tools so for the MacBook to run them as smoothly as it does is excellent. I haven't had any problems what so ever with the MacBook but if you do, the Apple website has many FAQ's and help sections which would be useful, or you could also contact someone from the MacBook team via there website, they are very helpful. The MacBook costs around £800.

- 23/02/08 I currently have a G4 PowerBook but I desperately need to upgrade for my work. Can't afford it at the moment though :o( |

- 23/02/08 The only problem I find is that mine gets very hot very quickly. The best solution I have found is to stand it on a tissue box! Other than that, I wouldn't trade it for anything. |
