Advantages: So easy to use, reliable, great software

Disadvantages: Does not run windows software so gamers would benefit from a windows PC

I got one of theese macbooks preloaded with OSX 10.5 Lepoard

The Hardware: Apples Hardware on the macbook is in my eyes unbeatable. I have had mine for about a year now and have had only 1 fault. That was with the plastic surrounding the keyboard. Apple did replace that no problem at all. Other than that i have had no faults with memory, hard drive, screen, keyboard, wireless card anything as a matter of fact. The charger for the macbook has what they call a mag safe power adapter. What happens here is the charger is magnetic and rests into the power outlet on the macbook so if you was to trip on the wire the power wire will just pop out, so not t damage the power outlet very handy when people are always running around you or if you have kids that keep getting in the way.

The software: As an opperating system I believe OSX 10.5 Lepoard is flawless. It is so stable and i have only ever had a program crash about 3 or 4 times. It runs smooth, and as a bonus Apple opperating systems are not prone to the viruses that windows systems are prone to keep getting, so there is no big anti virus program to keep running causing your computer to use memory slowing things down.

OSX 10.5 comes with:
A great e-mail software as native which is easy to set up and can be used with most IMAP/ POP e-mail accounts.

Safari internet browser which is the fastest browser out there faster than firefox.

The backup software Time machine, is the best I have ever seen. Plug into a external hard drive slide to on "Done" click time machine and you can use the back up software to see your desktop how it was a day, week, month or year ago just by flicking back.

Most Macbooks or any Apple computer will come pre loaded with ilife which consists of:
iphoto, a great photo software for editing and managing your photos
imovie, for making your own films from your camcorder
idvd, for putting you imovie's onto dvd
Garageband, a fun and simple software for making great songs

All of theese programs are idiot proof and have video tutorials on the web at www.apple.com/uk

Wireless reception with airport is brilliant i can pick up my signal down the road.

Customer support is 100000% better than windows. Something wrong with your computer? Ring up, send it back, done. Simple as that.

Overall: Worth every penny.
