Advantages: elegant, easy to use, special features that pc's don't have

Disadvantages: exclusive need to get mac versions

Except for my ipod this is the first Apple product i have bought. I got it for uni and have fallen on love with it. For a start it is just so sexy! The design is sleek, elegant and just beautiful. There is no doubt that Apple design beautiful products but they are also clever, unique and different. When you buy something, especially something that costs as much as one these you want to feel like you've made the right decision. You can't help but fall in love with them. If you've been using a PC up until now then they do take a little getting use to but you do pick it really quickly and you begin to wonder how you ever lived without one. The operating system is easy to use, stylish to look at and practical. From the aesthetics side if things you can personalise pretty much everything from the colour you highlight in to where the arrows on the scroll bar are placed. You can decide what colour you want your labels to be, where you want dock to be place and how big your dock is. You can activate the spaces to help organise your desktop and you programmes. It has an automator function which is so useful to help organise your day to day activities on the computer. If you have any repetitive tasks such as adding memos, checking appointments, updating photos automator helps you do that in a quick and easy way. Seriously buying one of these will change your life! You get the ilife package with the mac which include ipohoto, imovie etc. which are all equally as cool and as useful. The great thing about these are that they are so user friendly once you know how to use them. There are lots of shortcuts like two finger scrolling, inverting the screen colour and copying text and images into a sticky note. You can drag and drop anything! this is instead of copying and pasting. You simply drag what you want to copy and drop it where you want it. You can also copy and paste like on a pc with buttons but dragging and dropping is a lot quicker. The macbook doesn't come with any office programs like word and stuff but there are several options for that. You can either buy iworks which is Apple's version of microsoft office, you can get microsoft office for the mac (need to get a mac version) or you can get open office which is free. All three are can change documents into word format so you can view and edit your files on windows. The more you learn about the cool things the mac can do the more you love it and want to brag about it. All you friends and family will be jealous cause normal pc's can't do it! Also if you need help with any problems the geniuses at any Apple store will help you out! You can now get a lot of mac versions of things like msn so you won't be missing out on pc programs if you do buy one. Oh and another great thing is that you don't have to worry about viruses!!
