Advantages: graphics card, touchpad you will want to use, lovely screen
Disadvantages: glare on screen sometimes, hot
Great laptop! Hasn't broken yet!! >_> I have taken it a two mile walk around 3 days a week for the last 6 months too!
I bought this because I got through 3 computers in a year, all hardware faults! Hp Pavillion broke within 3 months!!
The touchpad is very handy for graphic designers in general, and so so good that I don't use a mouse! Which I always would with my other laptops!
The screens good, but it DOES have some glare, though I have been ok with this so far. I have to say though the colours of the screen are beautiful!
I love that the power cord is magnetic, as I always knock it accidentally, so no damage done there, though it does mean you will want to keep the battery in always, as it comes loose easily.
It seems to get a bit hot quickly, but it's been fine so far despite that.
The switch from PC to mac is easy and fast, and you can partition a windows drive and boot up in windows if you like (though the drivers being a little glitchy in this may mean you wont want to use windows as your main, but it is fine for games!)
I bought this because it had a decent graphics card, not something you usually see in small laptops, but now I see the sony vaio has a great graphics card too, for the same price with better specs, so you may want to go for that.
(See if you can buy it in China or another cheap country, you can also buy the apple care there too!)
Summary: it's either this or a vaio, if you want a powerful, PORTABLE laptop.
