been using a macbook since 2007, but even recently that was starting to get tired and the spec was gradually going out of date. Initially, I was put off the MacBook Pro by its weight. It s 2.5kg, which for a laptop is quite a heffa. I wanted to be able to take it to meetings and hook up to networks easily, so the Macbook Air would have been perfect. However, the capability of the Air is far more limited, as I wanted a speedy processor and enough ummmph to be able to handle some technical and graphical software. Apple are also a fantastic company with regards to looking after their customers and should you have any ...

This is the latest, higher end 15" version of Apple s incredibly popular MacBook Pro line - featuring an updated graphics card and more hard drive space than it s 2010 predecessor. As far as first impressions go with the MacBook Pro, the sleek aluminium outer casing and minimal design tie in nicely with the incredibly easy to use Mac OSX Lion (the default operating system). If you ve been grappling with drivers, .exe files, blue screens of death and x program is not responding all your life in Windows, you may well have found yourself onto a winner with the MacBook Pro. Long gone are the days of fumbling with the start menu or having the trackpad click on ...
