been using a macbook since 2007, but even recently that was starting to get tired and the spec was gradually going out of date. Initially, I was put off the MacBook Pro by its weight. It s 2.5kg, which for a laptop is quite a heffa. I wanted to be able to take it to meetings and hook up to networks easily, so the Macbook Air would have been perfect. However, the capability of the Air is far more limited, as I wanted a speedy processor and enough ummmph to be able to handle some technical and graphical software. spending such a large amount of money on a laptop. I decided to bite the bullet and go for it and I am currently sitting here writing on my new MacBook Pro and could not be happier. I am not a computer whizz or genius, but rather I simply wanted an efficient, reliable and easy to use laptop and this has filled all of my needs. The viewing of DVD s and films is also very good quality. I was also told that macs are also less liable to get virus or other software bugs and to this day have still not had one, not to mention have saved money on anti-spyware products. This is the latest, higher end 15" version of Apple s incredibly popular MacBook Pro line - featuring an updated graphics card and more hard drive space than it s 2010 predecessor. As far as first impressions go with the MacBook Pro, the sleek aluminium outer casing and minimal design tie in nicely with the incredibly easy to use Mac OSX Lion (the default operating system).
