... laptop cost me £1200, which is an incredibly high price for most customers, however for the all round package - I think it's worth every penny. The battery life could be better, I haven't timed it but with harsh usage I would approximate that from full charge the laptop lasts around 3 hours. However, it has a nice feature that warns you of low battery and backs up everything you were doing if you forget to plug it in I recommend this laptop to students, professionals and light gamers, I think if you are looking for ...more

Premium Review Apple MacBook Pro MB133B/A: Apple Macbook Pro 15' (545 words)

Rating:

Upon purchasing my macbook pro last in August last year, I was slightly upset to discover that they released an updated Macbook Pro. However, upon testing the new one, I am glad I managed to get this version of the macbook instead. Don't get me wrong, they are both great machines, but the older Macbook is much more suitable for my needs. The biggest difference is the lack of choice between a matte screen and glossy screen. By default the new Macbook Pro has a default glossy screen and there is no ability to change it, I find the screen has huge glare and is very difficult to use if you happen to be sitting in an area with lots of light. The ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Apple MacBook Pro MB133B/A: Ideal for photographers (316 words)

This laptop revolutionized the way I run my photography business. Before I worked on a desktop PC which was quick and efficient, but I always thought I could work faster. I tried out a friends MacBook and was stunned. I found everything far more intuitive and this made tasks much quicker to complete. But enough about something so subjective. The matte screen is beautiful to view photographs on and retains it's calibration well. They keyboard is a delight to work at and the touchpad is sensitive enough to even do basic photo retouching. As other reviewers have noted, the casing does get very hot. There is a very good reason for this though, the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Apple MacBook Pro review (201 words)

The Apple MacBook Pro has been the benchmark for premium laptops for a little while now. Is this new version any different? For starters, this new one is powerful. Processors range from 2.4 right up to 2.6 GHz, which is ample for nearly everything - including gaming and design etc. Screen size ranges from a large 15.4" to a simply insane 17". I have a 17" one, and, while it only fits in larger bags, the screen is a joy to look at. It sits snugly on my lap and is comfortable to use. Of particular note is the keyboard, which is fully size and also backlit - a great help for late night work. The MacBook Pro looks very nice, with ...  Read the complete review

This laptop just has superb build quality... think aston martin combined with BMW and your nearly there! The Apple MacBook Pro is quite simply amazing! Out-of-the-box features include i Photo image editor, I Movie digital movie editor, Garage Band digital recording studio, Web Page/Web Gallery creation, simple wireless networking. All this extra software is brilliant if i wanted all this on a PC i would have to shell out hundreds of pounds on it but on my mac its free! The core 2 duo processor makes it easy to run multiple applications at the same time without any noticable lag/instability. The 15.4 inch wide screen is ideal for watching movies or long ...  Read the complete review
