As a long time windows user, I was very sceptical about using the MacBook Pro. It took a long time (over 2 months) for me to stop detesting the Mac and begin appreciating it's features. As such, here are a few things I now CANNOT live without:
- Multitouch trackpad. Simply amazing. I prefer this to using a mouse or going back to the absurdly small trackpad on most other laptops.
- Screen resolution. Simply amazing. After working on a Mac all day, it hurts the eyes to go back to a bog standard laptop display.
- Battery life. I can get about 5 hours (from full charge, with no wifi or bluetooth) before the battery begins to die. I have never been able to get more than 3/4 hours with a standard laptop (excluding hi-range business machines).

I'm still getting used to the Mac and there are a few things that bug me (Excel for Mac is a horrible horrible piece of software), however, I no longer hate it.
