The Macbook Pro combined with Apples newest operating system OS X Lion, has to be what I think the best laptop out there. Even though it is highly priced and that is probably the main reason why so many people prefer a Windows laptops but as they say 'you get what you pay for'. I have had this Macbook Pro for just over a year now, I have no problems with anything, the main problem Windows laptops have is that they get viruses very easily but not with a Mac because Apple have there own antivirus which is the best antivirus out there so therefore you know that your laptop will be safe from viruses.
With the 500gb of memory that is built into this amazing machine means that I have no worries about freeing up space on the hard drive. The processor is just so fast and when restarting my laptop I dont need to sit there waiting for it to bootup, it does it instantly. One of the best features I think the Macbook Pro has is its trackpad, with this trackpad your not using just two fingers like on any windows laptop but you are using all 5! Simply moving the pad in a different way means that it's efficient and smart but also a little complicated for the basic computer user but it is very easy to get used to with a little practice.
On a full charge the battery will last up to 9 hours which is an astonishing amount of time therefore you dont need to be carrying the charger around with you all the time.
Thank you for reading my review and I hope this has persuaded you to get this amazing machine!!!
It is an expensive laptop at £1459 on Amazon and still causes the occasional argument between me and my wife - one year after its purchase, even though I got it at a knockdown rate because a friend of mine had had it for a couple of months prior to me buying it!
I was fed up with the quality of laptops running Windows, with this machine I'm confidently secure when it comes to browsing and even downloading that it will remain unaffected by viruses. I don't have to run tedious virus scans or really do much at all, it updates itself when it needs to and I usually leave it in sleep mode and only switch it off or restart it when it needs to be done for changes to take effect.
It's easy to switch the language in to many different others which is not always the case with non Macs. The 500gb of memory means that I don't have to worry about freeing up space on the hard drive, it does however mean I become a bit lazy when it comes to not deleting files! The processor is perfect and I never worry about speed, the shortcuts that are possible from combinations of keys or simply moving the pad in a different way means that it's efficient and smart but also a little complicated for the basic computer user.
The graphic quality is great but this is not the laptop for gamers, since there are not a great deal of games compatible with it.
The command key to the left of the space bar came off with ease and this tends to be a fault on some models of Macs. It's a slim, sleek piece of technology in stylish aluminium, its faults are few and it means you can get the best out of your time on a laptop. The battery life is massive at around 9 hours and although it does lower with time, it's still near its original life after over a 100 load cycles.
Splash out, I say or hope Santa is loaded this year!
