You do pay a premium for an Apple laptop, especially a Macbook Pro, but it's very worth the extra investment in my opinion.

The look & appearance of these machines is second to none & the functionality remains unparalleled. These days the Macbook Pro is silver (used to be white mainly beforehand) & I prefer it this way (I had a couple of the white ones before).

The weight is something you may notice, there are definitely lighter laptops available, albeit not with this level of power or features. I have also found this computer to be pretty quiet, none of extractor fan noise you'll get on other machines.

Battery life is pretty good for the most part, obviously it's changeable & will depend on what you're using it for, but you can get about 5 hours out if it unplugged on a good day. If you're doing anything heavy duty (using photoshop, importing photographs, burning discs etc.. it will go quicker).

Rather than a mouse you get a trackpad, but I think they're pretty standard on laptops of any kind now. The one here is very slick & functions very well, never had any issues with mine.

I'm on my 2nd Macbook Pro & I find them to be very reliable & able to withstand heavy duty use (it's my only computer). One of these will last for years & won't be outdated or obsolete anytime soon.
