I have had my Apple MacBook Pro with Retina Display for about a year now. The design is very crisp, clean and streamline - always looks good, anywhere. The laptop is fairly light- a little heavy in my rucksack but lighter than I would have expected. The main downfall in my eyes/opinion is the fact that the MacBook PRO (well, this one) does NOT have a disk drive. I understand that it is fairly small for such a powerful machine, but for over £1000 for a 13 inch laptop I would have expected AT LEAST a ply in USB disk drive. But no. I had to pay another £70 to Apple to get a disk drive to be able to watch the occasional DVD on a train or whatever. Sadly, this means that the laptop isn't as space savvy as it first appeared since I often have to carry around a disk drive too.
The price was a bit of an issue for me, a student with only a job that pays £3.80 an hour. I really needed a good laptop for my A level work though, so I decided to invest in one regardless. Even with a student discount it was expensive (the bigger discounts come at university, and I bought this in my AS year).
Before I had had it a year, it broke. Someone at school knocked into me and it dropped a few centimetres to the floor, causing the screen to break under the glass. The repair for this was over £300. I'm pretty sure my old ACER wouldn't have broken (I know it wouldn't have done because I had actually dropped that one and it was fine) and for £300 repair I could have bought a new laptop. OK i get that it is a MacBook, but still - MORE money to Apple. A few of my keys fell off too before this, and I hd never even used the affected keys (mathematic symbols). Luckily I got this repair on warranty (good job as somehow it cost £350 to repair four keys????????).
A good laptop, but very expensive and I don't like the fact that it doesn't have a disk slot or eve come with a USB adapter.
My MacBook Pro is a blessing in disguise I use it for every little bit of work I need to do whether it's a casual shopping spree online or an important email my MacBook is always there to make life a little bit easier.
The keyboard has plenty of space between each of the letters making it easy to type. The touch pad has special features for scrolling and zooming in an out, this is helpful as it is tiring to strain the wrists when scrolling through long attachments at work. As I take the train to work I find it a good way to get work done on the train, it takes up little room on my bag and is much lighter than my previous laptop.
The graphics are extraordinary and my screen saver looks dazzling in the background. I truly recommend getting this laptop as you will be surprised with the quick turn on and rapid response of this laptop
I''ve had my MacBook for almost 3 years now, and I still love it! Easy to learn, easy to navigate, fun to use. I highly reccomend this product. Although the price is high, it''s worth it in the long run.
I recently upgraded my MacBook to this Retina display model and can honestly say I''ve never been happier with a purchase. The screen is the first thing you''ll notice on the upgraded model. The colours and vibrancy of the display simply blow everything else out of the water! I use mine for quite a bit of image editing and it''s great to have the image on the screen look exactly as it does once printed. Beyond the display the whole computer is lightening quick. I''ve installed Microsoft Office for work and any file I open is pretty much instantaneous. Photoshop is also extremely quick though this does depend on the size of the file I''m working with. Whilst travelling I''ve used it as a TV watching movies and again the quality is amazing. My friends have all commented on how beautiful it looks and the finish is stunning. all in all I''m one very happy Mac fan!
This is a Macbook, and as Macbooks go, this is one of the best yet. The fact that Macbooks are also the top Laptop on all fronts in many peoples eyes, this makes it one of the best devices out there of its kind. It uses iOS Operating System and is brilliantly fast. Its like a brilliantly responsive and better looking version of the older Macbooks. There used to be stern opposition to Macbooks in that many found comfort in using the Windows operating system but if this device says anything about the way that Apple are heading with their Computer devices I believe this will soon change. The device is brilliantly fast, the screen is a perfect size and its operating system is becoming a force to be reckoned with. The colours that are presented onscreen are unbelievable and it really makes the experience of using a laptop even happier. It is a joy to use. The speed of the use of the apps on this device and the brilliant startup and close down speeds are a major selling point. It seems that this laptop does everything at 3 times the speed of a normal laptop meaning any task can be done in a fraction of the expected time. The downside of the device and of any Apple or Mac product is the expense. This Macbook will set you back a hefty amount and your bank balance will likely quiver at the prospect. However, if you''ve got the money, this will be an investment you''ll never regret.
