... have never had a Mac before, this Macbook was my first Mac ever. I did not know if it would be any good but good things are always said about Macs and the fact that most of the people in my family had moved over to Macs. They helped me to get a Mac. Apple MacBook MA699B/A ... mackintosh is soo much more reliable then Windows. mac is so much more reliable then PC s. The graphics are so clear, its are amazing for designers, i use a lot of adobe programs. I used to hate the fact i cant right click but it really doesnt bother me anymore esp when ive learnt all the short cuts. You can still right click by using CTRL/apple then your right hand mouse too.. perfect! Apples always invent the best things. The MacBook really isnt much different from the MacPro unless you are a professional in the design career than i would suggest you getting MacPRO.. Apple PowerBook G4 M8592B/A ... acquired this laptop from a friend who was upgrading. I wanted to try using a mac before I made the investment of buying a new one. This laptop is more than 4years old (i m not sure exactly) but it still manages to keep up with everything that I need to use it for in 2009. Things it can deal with fine: Skype (but no webcam so must be bought separately) Web browsing Google sketchup (basic engineering / design software) Logic Pro 7 (crashes very occasionally) Microsoft office for mac (slightly slow to load up but works fine when open) I Tunes (slow connecting to itunes store) The other great thing about this mac is it doesn t seem to develop fundamental software probl... Apple MacBook Pro MB990B/A ... expected Apples Macbook Pro lives up to its expectations. This is my third purchase from Apple and i can highly recommend it. Previously i have always owned HP or Dell laptops but with the introduction of vista i was very disappointed and decided to switch to Apple. The Macbook Pro is slightly more expensive than your average laptops so most people do get swayed by this and decide to stick with vista. I have to say it is well worth spending a few extra pounds. The Macbook Pro is stylish, light, modern and it does everything it says on the tin.
