ASUS customer care is rubbish. They are not based in the uk, and if you have a problem, getting them repaired is a nightmare. You have to contact the Netherlands and get it sent away to Scotland for repair. They tell you it will take seven days for repair, but I have been waiting 7 weeks, and still no laptop. No engineers come out for repairs, so you are without a machine for ages, which is not good if you need it for work.
Not something I had checked out before I bought it, wish i had now.
In comparision, my husband bought a Dell, and when he had a problem the engineer comes out the next working day and is repaired on the spot, unless it is not repairable, and a replacement is sent out within a couple of days.
Very poor in my opinion, the on board sound is naff, had so many problems with it. also the machine is covered in stickers that leave horrible marks on the machine and it scratches very easily. Looks very shabby after a couple of weeks, and im very careful about new toys.
I would recommend finding out about warranty and what the actual terms and conditions are like before buying, Ive learnt the hard way.
