Advantages: High Value, Build Quallity and everything works well
Disadvantages: Nothing Major
Hello all,
I work at several large computer superstores and have access to them all on a daily basis. I Have not purchased these laptops but I instead work with them in order to bring you the highest quality consumer based reviews. I sometimes ask the opinions of my staff and also of customers to bring you up to speed.
So without further interuption here is my review on the Acus F3Jc
DESIGN
This laptop is a boring grey plastic colour and wont win any awards for design excellence, but what do you really expect from this price-point, (this isnt a macbook air). Where it lets down in design it make up in build quality with all the fixings as you should expect. One thing I did notice was the weight of this machine so it isnt really useful for business travelers.
The screen is nice and crisp and is 15.4 inches and as Ive said before this is pretty much the standard when it comes to monitors. In fact my Evesham Voyager from 3 years + ago has a screen with this size and im pretty sure the same resoloution aswel.
POWER AND PERFORMANCE
To be totally honest this is one of these business PC's that does the job plus a little more. So it really fits into the Business + category. It has a Intel Core Duo processer running at 1.73 ghz and is quite a good performer. It also has 1 GB of ram which Is okay for this price range. It make the laptop quite snappy. The graphics card is low end but does the job for the occasional game and most things will run at a fair speed.
EXTRAS
Everything else is moderate. I would like to go into more detail but this is really it. This is just a moderate laptop. VALUE is the word that springs to mind the battery is good the keyboard is good the speed and speakers of the thing are good and crisp. but thats about it. I apologize if you wanted more information but if you would like more leave a comment
CONCLUSION
Acus value package for a business + laptop. Everything works okay and functions as it should. The laptop itself is quite ugly but it makes up for it in trhe build quality. It has a dedicated graphics card and thats all good but it wont win any benchmarks anytime soon.
