good as this laptop is I have had a few problems with it over the last 2 years which luckily the 2 year warranty that came as standard covered and Asus fixed it quite quickly, the first problem I had was after around a year when the back light for the screen failed which was due to a wire breaking that feeds from the laptop up to the screen. The second time I had to send it away for repair was just before the 2 year mark when the power supply totally failed and also burnt out the motherboard which they replaced for free. Netherlands and get it sent away to Scotland for repair. They tell you it will take seven days for repair, but I have been waiting 7 weeks, and still no Laptop . No engineers come out for repairs, so you are without a machine for ages, which is not good if you need it for work. Not something I had checked out before I bought it, wish i had now. In comparision, my husband bought a Dell, and when he had a problem the engineer comes out the next working day and is repaired on the spot, unless it is not repairable, and a replacement is sent out within a couple of days.
