Advantages: great resolution; good processing power

Disadvantages: very low battery power, not very durable

I originally bought this laptop for university, but I also wanted to be able to play World of Warcraft smoothly on it. Also, being an amateur photographer, I wanted to be able to edit my photographs using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.

This laptop is advertised as an entertainment or media laptop; that is, good for watching movies and listening to music loudly. At 2 gigabytes of RAM, it doesn't run too slowly, though you might want to ramp it up a bit more if you're running lots of programs. Its graphics aren't the best; I'm running World of Warcraft at about 20-30 frames per second consistently which definitely isn't optimal, but it's playable.

It comes with Windows Vista, which isn't as bad as everyone says it is. It's easy to use. However, I have one note about the laptop's durability: it's not been banged around that much, I don't think, and I can already see chips and cracks on the metal surface. If you're planning to bring this around to school or work all the time, it probably isn't the best option, seeing as it is quite heavy and big anyway. Plus its battery life is really bad; less than 2 hours for me. Buy a spare!

All in all, a fair laptop if you're looking for mainly a desktop replacement to do some light graphics editing or gaming.
