Newest Review: ... a disconcerting rattle inside! And to top it all, one of the front 'interactive lights' gave up showing red after about 10 ... more  ... hours use.
Asus customer service are not interested, suggesting I send a week old machine away for a repair that could take three weeks.
Overall - has the features and capability to do what I wanted, but longevity and reliability are seriously questioned, whilst the customer service is dire. If you can put up with three weeks downtime per repair, it's a great machine. I can't take three weeks off for every fault so it's going back for a refund. Shame really....moreMore Asus laptops

I purchased one of these primarily for it's video capabilities for use in my work as a freelance VJ. Nice surprise when first opened was the inclusion of backpack style, Asus branded carry case and an Asus branded Lazer copperhead mouse, neither of which are mentioned in the spec. The twin hard drives are further split, so that it appears to be four drives, which may have it's uses for some. The screen looks great, and the machine itself did everything I asked of it. Disadvantages: The catch that holds the lid shut is flimsy and poorly fitting. When the laptop is turned over there is a disconcerting rattle inside! And to top ...
