I got this laptop back in Christmas. The main reason driving me to buy this instead of Fujitsu, which was the brand I have been using for a long time, is because of the price that Asus offered for the product. I was initially quite worried about the laptop having problems because it is just so cheap... But 4 months in, I can now safely say it had not failed me!
I use my laptop to watch movies and tv shows a lot, and its widescreen and audio quality have definitely impressed me. It is also not too heavy for a relatively widescreen laptop. The only problem I had so far was actually loading the Google Chrome browser and Firefox browser... they are sometimes a little too slow for some reason. But I am not sure it has anything to do with the laptop itself.
I would definitely recommend this laptop, if you are looking for a bargain laptop that satisfies your everyday use! For word processing, basic office work and entertainment, it definitely would do. I am not a gamer so I am not sure whether its techs are sufficient for gaming, but my guess is it should do!
For me reviewers are impressed by the value for money. The performance is also mentioned favorably. Opinions are divided on the resolution. There are some less positive comments about the linux support and touchpad. and even for gaming youth its fabulous and must have laptop.Battery backup is also pretty gud and impressive. Also Microsoft Office 2010 (cost $149-$499) Preloaded what else you are looking for.
