I bought his laptop 8 months ago for my university work. I bought the laptop, brand new, for under £300 pounds, which is good value for a laptop with such specs. I have mainly used the laptop for writing essays, making power point presentations, surfing the Internet, watching movies, listening to music and playing games. The laptop was very easy to setup and I was busy transferring my old files and personalising my new laptop in about half an hour. When writing an essay I have Word and at least 15+ tabs open in my browser. I am constantly switching back and forth between the two and the laptop does not freeze up or stall. It also came with a trial of Microsoft Powerpoint, so that was useful for making group presentations. As a student I do have a lot of free time so I like to watch television and movies on my laptop. The screen is large enough and of a nice quality so it is easy to thoroughly enjoy watching entertainment, I have not missed watching television at all. The sound quality of the speakers is okay for movies and such but for music they are not so great. At full volume they can make music sound poor quality and tinny, so if you are an audiophile best try another laptop or buy some external speakers to play music from this laptop through. Although it is fine for me as I am not too bothered about sound quality. I downloaded the Sims 3 and a few expansion packs onto this laptop. The quality of the graphics is okay considering this laptop does not have the best graphics card. I can play for about an hour before the game becomes 'laggy', but that is okay for me as I try not to play too many video games. It is fine for playing online flash games though. The laptop comes with an integrated webcam and microphone. I do use it a bit when Skypying with friends. It is not the best of quality at 0.3 megapixels and it can be a bit 'laggy'. But it is nice to have a webcam in the laptop considering the price I got the laptop for. The laptop also has a fun little programme which works with the webcam where you can take pictures and add filters or fun effects. Overall, it is a great laptop for a low price. It is probably best used for coursework or just general use. I would not recommend it as a gaming laptop. I have had it for 8 months and it is still running just as fast from the first day I used it. The battery life of this laptop is also very good, from fully charged it can last 3+ hours, and it hasn't diminished after all the time I have been using it.
Well, i got this laptop a few months ago. And it has been quite amazing for me. At first it did become really hot. I didnt know why this was, but after a reinstall of windows everything worked out fine and it didnt become that warm anymore. Specs: Great specs(specifications) for this price! I could not find another laptop this cheap with an i5 processor. The i5-2410m is really quick. Especially with the new technology. Gaming: The laptop is not good for gaming at all. The graphics card is not that good, you can run small games on it like need for speed underground 2 but not something like crysis 2. But this isnt the main focus for this laptop School: I use this primarily for schoolwork. And this is one of the best uses for this laptop. I need to make multiple, long, projects and this laptop will always get me on wikipedia quick and open word fast. Movies: Great for movies etc, the sound cant go really loud. Thats not that great but im fine with it. I do enjoy watching movies on it, Its not really special but it can go through. Conclusion: A pretty great little laptop, isnt the one for you if your looking to play videogames. If its for school it will do really well!
