I've had my Asus laptop for around two years now, in that time it has been the family laptop and used by six people (including a rather heavy handed three year old who uses it to watch videos of children playing with Thomas trains). It has performed brilliantly really, over the past few weeks the laptop has slowed down and crashes sometimes but to be honest if it died tomorrow I'd still think I made a good purchase decision as it really has been overused by us all.
The Asus is supplied with Windows 7 and has all the usual functions and virtual gadgets, the mouse pad is a bit of a pain as it's located in a strange off-centre position which sometimes I accidentally catch with the bottom of my hand as I'm typing - and then sometimes (horrifically) accidentally highlight and delete text, which is a complete pain in the rear end!
Quite early on in it's life I had problems with the Microsoft Office programmes, I could have had this fixed but as we rarely use Office I never bothered and we use a much better alternative which my daughter came across as part of her college course in IT. This would certainly be a disadvantage for some so if you decide to buy this laptop I'd recommend doing further research to ensure that bug has been ironed out. Everything else has worked absolutely perfectly for the whole time we've had the laptop and I have no complaints.
The speed of the laptop obviously depends on what you're doing on it - it's fine for Netflix and You Tube but very slow on a certain bingo site for some reason (I don't play online bingo, I had a free credit which I ended up not using because it made the laptop so glitchy). It also had issues buffering from one of the film sites used by my daughter, but I suspect that was due to the popularity of this site and maybe the fact that it wasn't particularly legit.
The keyboard is nicely laid out, I touch type and don't need to look at where my fingers are any more than usual. The 'F' buttons and sticky keys all work as they should and the keyboard itself has been amazingly easy to keep clean using a piece of special keyboard putty, again provided by my daughter from college.
This laptop comes recommended by me as maybe not being a top of the range option but as a laptop that can withstand so much use (and from so many different people) without dying a twitchy crashing death - I'll be sad to replace it.
This laptop is brilliant for this price. With the i5 it makes it all smooth at some gaming and make your world a whole lot more interesting. I do recommend this laptop for businesses or students that are at school or university. With 750GB hard drive you can save a lot of items onto your laptop and you will not need to worry about loosing all the memory on this laptop. This laptop has a amazing 15.6 inch screen so you will not have any problems trying to look at the screen. Also it comes with a windows 7 already built in to keep you updated with all the software. With a amazing 2.5 GHZ it is amazing and smooth. You will not have any problems with this laptops with frame rate loose or any other problems.

I bought this laptop a week today at a very impressive price, just over £300. It has a nice design and looks elegant as well as being very light compared to my old Asus laptop, this is great for me as I do a lot of travelling.
I'm very happy with how fast it runs and is easy to work, it also comes with lots of programmes already installed which is great.

OK! So now for my opinion :)
I got this laptop literally the other day and straight away I'm very impressed with how sleek and stylish it is, it's very light as well which is handy for me because I tend to take it EVERYWHERE with me and it makes a great difference compared to lugging a huge hefty one around.
What I noticed immediately was how quick and responsive it is, it's almost as if it reads your mind sometimes as it loads things so fast.
I play a lot of Facebook games and Football Manager (which I have also reviewed previously, ahem) and it just gives you excellent quality game play.
The screen size is superb and compliments the visual quality very well, sometimes it seems like there's TOO much room on the screen but I have learnt that there's no such thing when it comes to Angry Birds.
Graphically it's fantastic, as I mentioned I play games on here when I can and the power of the machine to run FM12 so seamlessly and faultless is incredible, the database on that game is absolutely huge and it took me completely by surprise that it doesn't lag or skip, even when I have iTunes open at the same time.
The built in speakers are decent enough if you're sitting in a quiet room alone but I would definitely recommend buying yourself an external set if you're into putting music on while you do other things as they're not the best.
Windows 7 is pretty awesome too and allows you quick and easy access to all your stuff, but I'm not reviewing that..yet! :)
I think that the fact that it has 3 USB ports is VERY handy indeed, I tend to charge my phone and my iPod at the same time and the fact that I can do it all from one place is a big help to me, it also makes it easier when I want to take the pictures from my phone, upload them and then put them onto my iPod, there's no faffing around with unplugging things, it's as simple as clicking and dragging.
The HDMI output is awesome! I am currently sitting in front of my 32" HD TV writing this review with a nice cup of coffee and a huge screen to see absolutely everything I need, tell me, Who would say no to having the chance to be able to do that?
If you use a laptop for general game play and social networking like I do then this is absolutely perfect, I don't think it could handle something huge like The Sims for example but it does the job when I need it and I very much enjoy it.
This K series notebook from ASUS delivers the power processor and discrete Intel HD graphics. These specifications result in a greatly accelerated computing experience, with particular performance gains in multitasking, multimedia and gaming.
