When I had first heard that ASUS was producing laptops, I was surprised as I had only seen motherboards from them. But this laptop is a seriously competitive piece of hardware. This laptop has mostly everything- a good processor, 3 GBs of RAM, which is a killer for a 500$ laptop. The 250 GB HDD can be extended, so it does not pose much of an issue. It also provides a decent gaming resource graphics card which is usually missing from a lot of laptops. The Ethernet port is also damn fast and data transfer becomes a cinch. Add to that, the extra security feature of fingerprint recognition, which means nobody can access your account without you allowing them. For all those who are not very comfortable with the Vista they also offer a downgrade to the more user-friendly XP at a minimal fee, which certainly saves you buying the XP besides ensuring you do not accidentally tamper with the factory settings. All in all a perfect combination.
