Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600 ... unit on your lap, the heat would be enough to make you very uncomfortable - even through clothes. The device is supposed to have a built-in cooling system – I’d hate to see what it would be like without one. Speed and Memory ============== The 4600 is available with a number of processor options. You can opt for either a Mobile Intel Celeron Processor (speeds of 650, 700 or 750 MHz) or a Mobile Pentium III processor (speeds of 650, 700, 750 or 800 MHz). My unit came with the most powerful Celeron Processor (750 MHz) and I am more than satisfied with the processing speed of the unit. Fujitsu Siemens Amilo EL6800 ... is a great little machine. The style is very clean and tidy and the cream keyboard looks very attractive against the light metallic blue body. As far as the hardware is concerned, there is a picture perfect flat, color-corrected screen for watching your movies or doing some photo work. The hard drive could be bigger, but at 20gig is really all anyone needs. There is sufficient but well advisably upgradable RAM of 256MB. The 3 USB ports prove very useful for using multiple peripherals, also included is a firewire socket, unfortunately not the larger one but still handy for digital film and photography, and a TV out socket, again usefull for the above. Toshiba Satellite 1110 ... own this laptop since 2-3 years now. And it has worked for me. The keypad and its keys are placed in a very user friendly manner, which makes the job of typing a lot more fun and ease. It boots up pretty qucik and doesn t get too much warm just too quickly as compared to many other laptops i have used. Though i always wonder if it had battery stand power for a lot more than its offering which is 2-3 hours, and then it start to dim down and doesn t take long before it start going to sleep. Generally speaking for me it works , its not ultra thin but its not chunky in size either which makes it a perfect for those who really use laptops on thier laps as well as lik...
