Compaq Presario 1800

This is an awesome computer. Perfect desktop replacment, dvd player, or now you can get dvd-cd/rw combo drive. Lots of space on the hard drive and decent ram(128mb) but if you are a devoted gamer i would suggest you upgarde to 256mb of ram. I like that it has a modem and ethernet ports. It could use a line in so you can rout in sound, and win ME could use a little work so it doesn't freeze. If I buy a new computer it will just be a newwer model of this. though it's not light to lugg around, the 1800 does everything your desktop does (in the office) and better. The DVD is excellent, the graphics fast, it's got all the ports you need, and the screen, at 15' is the most stunning feature. The keyboard is well laid out, the touchpad sensitve, and when you've no mouse at hand, you'll be working just as well. Unmissable. Sound is acceptable for a laptop. and with network card inside, fast modem, and all, you'll not have need for added cards.
