I purchased my compaq notebook 906us a week ago and have pujt it through it paces. I have had several laptop computer but this one I found outstanding. The screen is excllent and when I viewed a DVD movie the colors were vibrant. It has a multi task CD Rom, with R/W and CD plus the DVD. I like the windowsxp home operating system. The toucpad is quick and the keyboard has a good feel to it. I have ordered an external usb floppy for further easy access. The price was also a factor. The unit lists for $1,149.00 but my retailer gave me a $100.00 off at the register and two coupons, one for $200.00 and another rebate coupon for $100.00. This made the total price $749.00. I purchased a 3 year extended warranty that covers the battery. The stereo speakers delivered a great sound with the movies I played. The notebook has a high tech look with a brushed aluminum outide. I tried the battery and ran the computer on battery power 3 hours and still had some left.
