After having a mare of a time with my old HP Laptop (which I had for a month before it blue screened on me, resulting in a 6 month long battle with HP to get a refund!) I was more careful with my choice of replacement. After a little while searching for the right package, I eventually settled on this Compaq. Now, I am totally aware that HP own Compaq, and was initially wary about buying from them or an affiliate again, but I m glad I took the punt. I purchased this Laptop from John Lewis after my previous Acer laptop gave up the ghost! I freely admit that I am no computer genius so forgive me for any technological bloopers in advance. My previous Acer laptop was with me for over five years and saw me through a degree and masters, however towards the end of it s life I kept receiving constant memory low warnings. After finding out it would cost a couple of hundred pounds to increase the memory, I decided to replace it with a new laptop.
