      Very helpful

Despite impressive performance figures and statistics, this laptop is not the most sound investment.

The Compaq CQ60 stands out for the abundance of features & performance amidst other laptops in its price bracket. Having owned the Compaq for a couple years, it is not surprising that the model is still on the market. Even now the 3GB RAM and AMD Athlon processor are great as far as laptops go in performance.

The laptop has a very sleek design. The outside is a glossy black with a smart silver Q on the top of the lid. The laptop looks very stylish and modern. When you open the laptop up, the quality of the finish shines through with a seamless mousepad shifted slightly off-centre and a full keyboard above it. The screen is a good 15 inch size with a webcam fitted in just above it.

Performance-wise, this laptop was great when we first got it. The speed was very good for about 3 months, but after that the processing declined month after month despite us not installing games or downloading a lot of software. While this kind of problem is common to many Windows devices, this laptop seems to have suffered from the decline more than the average. Moreover, much like many other laptops, the battery has stopped working at all some 2 years after the laptop was purchased. We did have the laptop plugged in most of the time despite the advice that people give of constantly charging and discharging the battery for best performance, but our guess is that most people would do the same when they're at home.
