INTRO

When it comes to laptops the main thing I look for is speed, space and the graphics. I do a lot of filming and photography as a hobby so I like to have plenty space available and I like to be able to view my pictures on a good quality screen. The speed is important to me because I use filming softwares and photo shop at the same time, so I like to be able to run both of those programmes at once without it freezing up. I bought a laptop when I was in America and it broke unfortunatley. So i bought this one which was cheaper and a lot better than the one I had before!

PRICE

For this laptop it is from £250 to about £300 , depending on where you purchase it. From Amazon it is £256 and from Asda it is £297. The price for this is very reasonable and would be great for someones first laptop as it isn't that expensive.

LOOK

The screen size is 15.6" which is a perfect size for someone who perhaps hasn't got the best eye sight. It is a nice size, not too bulky but not so small that you cant see the screen or keyboard. The keyboard is lovely and spacious and very easy to touch type with. The touch pad mouse is also very easy to use, it isn't too sensitive, but just sensitive enough for you to be able to have good control over the mouse. The right and left click buttons are big too , to allow easy clicking. It is matte black so very sleek looking. It does feel like it is a bit plasticky but it doesn't feel cheaply made. It's really light so you can carry it round easily. It weighs 3.7 KG.

WARRANTY

It comes with a 1 year warranty so if anything goes wrong with it within the first year of you having it, you just call the company up and they are happy to help. I rang them up because I thought the mouse had broken but it turned out I had locked it by mistake. they were really friendly and understanding.

The large memory allows for plenty of room for photos, videos , documents etc. I've got about 30, 10 minute videos, over 300 photos and a few documents and still have plenty of room. I delete them every now and then so I don't get to the point where I fill up the hard drive haha. The speakers are by Altec Lansing which I have to say have provided some of the most fantastic speakers I've ever come across. The sound is lovely and crisp. The operating system is Windows 7, which is very easy to use. It looks a little bit like VISTA but it is NOTHING like it. It is fast, well laid out and very easy to use. The is a CD drive so you can watch DVD's on it or even burn them. I'm not very good at explaining the specs but I will say that it is a fast laptop with very good graphics considering how cheap it is. I can play the Sims 3 on it very well so that just proves that it is good enough to play big games like that!

OVERALL

I am not very good at reviewing products like this but I felt that I needed to let you all know that this laptop is cheap, well made, fast and very good quality. If you are looking for a first time laptop then get this one because I have had no problems with it , it does everything I want it to. If you are like me and only use laptops for facebooking, Ciao-ing, tweeting, playing games, microsoft word-ing etc, then this is the laptop for you.
